Hello Friends! Recently we had Posted How to Create a Password For a User Account in Windows 8 and today we are going to post a tutorial on How to Change a User Account Type in Windows 8. There are three Types of Account in Windows 8 :
1 - Administrator Account -Administrator have Full Access to the System. Administrator Account User Can Make any changes to System and  he/she can also create Standard and Guest Account but Standard and Guest Account user  can’t Create Administrator Account.
2 – Guest Account - Guest Account is just for Temporary Access to the Computer. Guest Account User Can’t make any changes on the System.
3 – Standard Account -  Standard Account is Same as Guest Account but  Standard Account Users can make changes in the system settings which don’t affect other user’s settings, and they can also install softwares into the system while Guest user can’t  install any software or hardware on the System.
So if you are Sign-In as Administrator, then you can Change a user Account type in Windows 8.
Simple Steps to Follow :
Step 1 - First Open Control Panel  and Go to the User Accounts.
Step 2 - Click on the Manage another Account.

Step 3 – Now Select and click on the User Account which you want to change, and then Click on Change the Account Type.

Step 4 - Select which type of new user Account you want, if you want to change as Standard Account then Select dot on Standard otherwise select dot on Administrator and Click on Change Account Type.

Note - If there is only one Administrator Account and you want to change it as Standard Account , then you won’t be able change the Administrator Account to Standard Account. For Changing Administrator Account to Standard Account there Should be already more than one Administrator Account Created.
Step 4 - Now you can see that your Local user Account Type changed to the Administrator Account.

That’s it ! Now you can close Control Panel.
Remember – You Must be Signed-in as Administrator for changing User Account Type in Windows 8 .
